Physical activity and exercise are two of the most impactful things you can do to influence your health.
At Move for Better Health, we understand that you might need some help when it comes to:
- Increasing your physical activity levels
- Exercising to improve your fitness and performance
- Rehabilitating from an injury or surgery
That is why we offer a range of options for you to exercise with a health professional that can take into account your personal situation and goals, to provide a safe and effective program for you.
Depending on which site you are visiting, we have a range of practitioners available for you to consult with which might best suit your needs. You can see which services are available at each location here or you can contact us for more information.

Individual Sessions
At each of our sites, we offer individualised sessions with an allied health practitioner, including Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Exercise Scientists to assist you with your exercise goals!
These include:
1:1 exercise sessions with a Physiotherapist
1:1 exercise sessions with an Exercise Physiologist or Exercise Scientist
Cardio-respiratory fitness sessions run by Exercise Physiology University students (under guidance of an Exercise Physiologist)
Strength and conditioning sessions run by Exercise Physiology University students (under guidance of an Exercise Physiologist)
At each of our sites, we also offer a range of small group classes. These include:
Physiotherapist-led Exercise classes can be a great way to work on your mobility and control of movement. We have a range of class options that include using traditional Pilates machines, other gym equipment or mat exercises that could also be done at home. Our range of class options includes:
Physio Exercise Classes: Individual or small group sessions on Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze Table and Multichair. A personalised program will be developed for you to undertake in these classes, based on an assessment by a Physiotherapist.
Physio Movement Classes: Led by Physiotherapists, with extra training in Pilates, our Movement Foundations and Controlled Movement Classes are ideal for those who are wanting to work on their fitness, strength and mobility, but do not have a current injury or musculoskeletal problem. They are a fun way to learn and practice mat-based exercises in a group format.
Physio Reformer Classes: Physio Reformer Classes are focused on fitness, strength and mobility. These fun and challenging classes use Pilates Reformers for the entire session. Reformer classes are led by Physiotherapy trained Pilates instructors and are recommended for fitness and wellbeing, rather than rehabilitation.
Our Exercise Physiology small group classes are supervised by an Exercise Physiologist. You’ll get the care and support you need with individual, tailored exercise programs specific to your goals to complete within our gym space.
As you progress and gain confidence in your exercises, a home exercise program can be an excellent way to supplement what you do in the clinic. Our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists can design a personalised home program that evolves as you get stronger and require less supervision. These programs could either be completed at home, supplemented by small equipment such as small weights or resistance bands, or we can also assist you with a gym-based exercise program if you regularly visit an outside gym! We recommend visiting us regularly for program reviews so we can assist you in progressing your program safely to help you achieve your goals while away from the clinic.
These programs allow you to continue building strength, improving fitness, and maintaining your progress between sessions. They’re a flexible and convenient way to ensure you’re staying active and achieving your goals, even on busy days.
No matter where you’re starting from, Move for Better Health is here to support you on your journey to better health.
