Psychologist at NLC Psychology

Emma is a registered psychologist and is currently undertaking the Registrar Program for endorsement in clinical psychology. She has experience working with individuals whose lives have been impacted by a variety of psychological difficulties, including depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders (including borderline personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder), disordered eating, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, and sleep disorders.

Emma uses a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and skill development through a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy framework. She has a wide range of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and their families, having also worked within public Youth Mental Health and Youth Justice teams.

As well as working in general clinical psychology, Emma has also developed specialist knowledge and experience in psychological treatments for insomnia and other sleep problems. She completed her Masters research with the Child & Adolescent Sleep Clinic, supervised by Professor Michael Gradisar (a world-renowned expert in paediatric sleep), and the findings from her research were presented at the AACBT National Conference in Brisbane (October, 2018) and the European Sleep Research Society Congress in Switzerland (September, 2018).
