Pilates – Equipment, Mat & Reformer Classes

Physiotherapist-led Pilates is a great way to work on your mobility and control of movement. We have a range of options that include using traditional Pilates machines or mat exercises that could also be done at home.

Equipment Classes: Individual or small group sessions on Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze Table and Multichair. A personalised programme will be developed for you to undertake in these classes, based on an assessment by a Physiotherapist.

Pilates Mat Classes: These floor classes are ideal for those who are wanting to work on their fitness, strength and mobility, and do not have an ongoing health or movement issue. They will often incorporate the use of a variety of different exercise equipment to supplement the range of movements being undertaken on the mat.

Pilates Reformer Classes: These classes are run using Pilates Reformer machines, and are focused on fitness, strength and mobility. These classes are not ideal for those with ongoing health or movement issues

Gym – Strengthening and Student Programs

Training in the gym at Move for Better Health can be achieved with one on one sessions or group strength sessions.

Programs commence with an initial session with an Exercise Physiologist who can assist in developing a program based on your needs and goals. They can also discuss the options of one on one training or group sessions to determine what will work best for you.

We also offer supervised exercise sessions for either cardiorespiratory fitness or strength and conditioning run by University students, which can be an option provided by you Exercise Physiologist after your initial session with them.
