Podiatrist at AC Podiatry

Sophie is a Podiatrist at AC Podiatry. After completing high school in New Zealand, Sophie moved to Australia to study podiatry. Since completing her Bachelor’s degree, she has gained experience in various types of foot care including general foot care health and orthoses, ingrown toenails (including onyfix and ingrown toenail procedures) as well as sports injuries and diabetes management.

Other areas of Podiatry Sophie has experience treating and managing include

  • Heel pain
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Neuromas
  • Plantar plate injuries
  • Skin infection (fungal, viral, bacteria etc.)
  • Paediatric flatfeet
  • Intoeing gait or tip toe walking

 

Following on from her placement with surgeons, GPs and podiatrists in the public sectors, Sophie is in the process of completing her endorsement for scheduled medicines (ESM). She will have completed this qualification by mid-2025!  She has gained extensive experience managing complex foot-related conditions such as high risk wound management, hammer toes and neuromas during her placements and additional study.

  • Languages: English, Mandarin

 

Outside of the clinic, Sophie enjoys playing tennis and doing long distance running. She was trained in a tennis team for 7 years and now she plays social tennis 3 times a week. She is also a huge fan of Roger Federer!
