Kayla has always had an interest in the way people move and why, mostly due to her sporting background. In her work as an Exercise Physiologist, she most enjoys focusing on client’s quality of movement and taking a holistic approach to their health.
Kayla also works with a wide variety of clients, some who simply are needing to increase their strength and fitness, as well as with clients who are working with long term chronic conditions or are recovering from injury.
Kayla has always been involved in or playing sports, and now plays basketball for Sturt in the Premier League. Following the completion of her secondary studies, she spent 2 years in College in Nebraska (USA) on a scholarship to study and play basketball.
Many athletes obtain serious injuries from poor load management and lack of strength and conditioning, which sparked Kayla’s interest in athlete pre-rehabilitaton and rehabilitation. She herself has had to deal with sport related injuries, and as a result has spent many hours at doctors and physios over the years.
Kayla loves helping her clients achieve their goals, not just temporarily, but with permanent positive lifestyle and attitude changes towards their health and physical activity
If Kayla’s not working or playing basketball, she’s most likely travelling, eating or drinking good food and coffee at café’s around Adelaide (and she’s always open to suggestions!).
Kayla practices at Move for Better Health’s Malvern location, as well as iNform Health & Fitness Solutions Norwood location. You can book to see her at Malvern online here, or by calling 7078 0303.
