A particular area of interest for Jane is allergies or food intolerance, as it allows her to help people survive and thrive using food, instead dealing with their daily restrictions or allergies.

After her graduation from a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2009, Jane has seen a wide range of chronic conditions through the her clinical work, including heart disease, renal disease, diabetes, IBS, and cancer. She has also become very experienced in weight management, diabetes, food allergies, and plant based diets since refocusing her work within a private practice environment.

While Jane happily works with other medical or allied health professionals to as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, you do not need a referral to see her. In addition to GPs, Jane works with immunologists, gastroenterologist, endocrinologists, and oncologists around Adelaide to help manage patients.

Jane is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest research, and has undertaken recent professional development:

  • Attended Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy Conference, and participated in planning meetings about national guidelines to prevent allergies in babies
  • Observation at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Allergy Unit
  • “The Mediterranean Diet: implications for primary prevention of chronic diseases”
  • “Mindless eating: why we eat more than we think”

She’s also excited to be furthering her knowledge in plant based diets, which will allow her to continue educating patients on practical plant-based cooking recipes and tips.
